Anyone having issues seeing all your installed fonts in X8?
My X8 only shows 11 fonts in the font list. I don't have any filters turned on.
I have the same issue in Font Manager, CorelDRAW & Photo Paint.

With the IMMENSE help of Sanjeev Narang, I believe we found the root problem. I believe that crash is caused by Type 1 fonts installed as link from a location with a very long path. For example, In Sanjeev's case, the font ZapfDingbats was installed from a path like this : "C:\Users\grapi\AppData\Local\Extensys\Suitcase Fusion\Suitcase Fusion.fontvault\SB\L\PS\INTARNATIONAL TYPEFACE CORP\ZAPFDINGBATS\001.004\1345771107\ZAPFDINGBATS.PFM" So anyone who has that crash, check your installed fonts for a Type1 font link. Delete the links and then see if that addresses the issue. This would not affect fonts installed normally : only Type1 installed as link.
UPDATE : On some Operating System : YOU WILL NOT SEE that Type1 are installed as links. I'd recommend to uninstall them all and then reinstall them via CFM or via windows.
Hi Claude
I don't know where you got the long path, if you typed it in or cut and paste but there is a typo Intarnational I believe is supposed to be International so it may be a bad path that is the problem I haven't tested.

I intentionally modified the path in an attempt to preserve Sanjeev's privacy.
Anyway, Sounds like this issues will affect most people using or that used Suitcase Fusion to install Type1 fonts. Suitcase Fusion seems to be using a very complicated folder hierarchy to store its fonts.
Now that we know what the problem is, we will be able to address it. I do not know when it will be addressed however as I do not make these decisions. But I would recommend to put it in SP1 at the very least if not in an hot fix.
I'm having the same issue. Did anyone find a solution? Claude I ran though your suggestion above and nothing changed.
I now see some replies that I didn't see before. I'll try a few of those suggestions too.
