Converting outlines to an editable font

I work at an sports apparel decorator. We have a number font that a university uses for all of there jersey numbers. The files they sent us are only outlines of the numbers. I was wondering if there was anyway to turn these number outlines into an editable text that we can use to input the numbers that are needed for each order.

I don't think you can, ask them for a font!

More specifically, and potentially legally, ask them for the name of the font. If it is a commercial font, purchase a license for it.

If they are supplying you work, font converted to curves, why would asking them the name of the font be an issue? Or is it that purchasing the font is problematic?

Take a good screen capture and post it here. Chances are someone can tell the name of the font if you don't know already.

Rasterize the copy and use what the font.
