When I have a design open in Corel Draw X3 and I convert it to a Bitmap and then try to Edit Bitmap, instead of Photo Paint opening the design, another window opens with the design in Corel Draw. Can you help walk through the settings so that Paint opens instead of Corel? Thanks so much in advance for your help.
Start up PhotoPaint, and from the menu go Tools->Options->Global->Filters->Associate. Here, you want to have a checkmark net to CPT. Hit OK, and close PP (And DRAW, if you have it open.) The next time you start DRAW and you go to edit a bitmap, it should open in PhotoPaint.

This is normal behavior. Sometimes, when I am in hurry, I edit a bitmap and save it back to draw and then I enter another edit (of the same bitmap) and I now have two instances of PP open. And if I am not careful, I end up crashing my session and losing some work. (This usually happens when I have more than one instance of PP open and I mistakenly try to save a bitmap edit from a previous session, and I get things really screwed up).
Lesson here, is think before acting
