dear corel, please, please, please make an corel 12 patch for vista and windows7 platforms. i've been using corel draw for 9 years and thru this time i came up to the conclusion that the corel 12 is the best version so far. and now i can't use it on the laptop because it can not be installed on vista or win7.
I don't agree with you. X3 and X4 are much better than the v2, you have a lot of new features and compatibility. Specially for Prepress, Sign making and professional output, X3 and X4 have superior features and more speed. Th v12 is too old and there's no way to upgrade. Also CorelDRAW X3 need a patch for work correctly under Vista sytems.
But of course you can install CorelDRAW 12 under Vista and Win7, I know most people that use Corel12 with Vista. Only you don't have some features.
I respectively disagree, too. In my humble opinion, X3 was the biggest/best/most innovative version, Corel ever released. The new and improved features were mind-boggling. Smart Fill, Boundary Tool, Fit Text to Path, PowerTrace, Crop Tool etc. etc. (just to name a few) are all real-live processes that I use everyday, all day long.
I can't imagine going back to using version 12 on a daily basis.
Have you tried the newer versions? I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. Corel 12 is 5 or 6 years old now.................ancient in computer years.
