Good morning. I have tried to install Corel 12 to Windows 7 (x64) and I have meet problem that I was not able to resolve. Corel 12 refuses to install himself reporting "Internal Error 2738". I tried to solve this problem by re-registering vbscript (recommended for Windows Vista), but with no effect. Would anybody be so kind to help me? Thanks.
CGS Version 12 is not certified to run either on Vista or Windows 7. CGS X3 requires Service Pack 2 in order to run on Vista.
What you may have to do is to set your UAC control to its minimum setting and then run the setup executable as Administrator. Outside of that, I do not know if this will work or not.
Thank you very much for the suggestion, but it does not work. Some other idea? Thanks.
There is one thing you might try - similar to using Parallels on a Mac to run windows apps.
That would be to run a VM (Virtual Machine) like Sun's VirtualBox - http://www.virtualbox.org/ - and then load Windows XP with CorelDraw 12 on top of that. I can't say as that I've tried it but I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work.

If you visit Microsoft's web site and search for their Virtual Machine and a runnable WinXP, both of which are for Win 7 (32bit or 64bit versions), you can load and run CGS Ver. 12 in the WinXP section of Win7. (This assumes that you do not have Win7 Ultimate-64 bit version).
Yes, I already had try MS Virtual XP machine - and it works. Corel is running under virtual XP with no problems at all - but it is terribly slow. But at least something. Thank you for the advice¡
