I've have this problem for months. The problem persists constantly when my file exceeds 10-15 Mb which is not that much. It sometimes show me a message <Out of Memory> or some other messages about low memory.
I'm with Windows 7, Corel Draw 12, RAM 3 GB. I have about 19 GB free space on the hard disk of my laptop.
My temp folder is almost empty. The Corel options for memory is put on 50% to be used it was 25% by default.
Yesterday I changed my virtual memory settings by checking custom size and 4593 MB for both the initial and maximum size. Yes, I reboot my laptop. Now, I open this window for the virtual memory and for some reason the custom size is disabled and System managed size is checked.
Anyway, my work on a big project is blocked.
Can someone give me a tip?

My first thought would be to reboot in safe mode and try to change the VM size again.
I always set the initial and maximum sizes to the same value. In earlier versions, that stopped the page file from being fragmented, though you needed to turn the page file off, reboot, defragment and then create your custom page file to ensure a contiguous page file.
With faster hard drives, it may make no difference, especially if it is SSD in which case you should not defragment.
My system shows disc fragmentation 0%. After the analysis.
I would still delete the swap file in safe mode and recreate it if you are still unable to get the custom size to stick. And if the new swap file is bigger than the old swap file, it might still be beneficial to defragment -- to ensure the new swap file will not be split into two parts.
I fixed the virtual memory and as if now I can work with bigger file sizes but a few minutes ago again when I save the file and the message shows: <Cannot be saved because the output folder might be full>. Awful.
I'm with Harry, the solution is to increase the Virtual Memory as big is possible.
