I use corel wih my laser cutter
If I set the outline pen to hairline ( the narrowest ) my laser cuts outlines twice, once each side of the line
so before I start I have to remember to type in a value of 0.01mm for the outline pen width and then my laser accepts this
as a single line and cuts just once
Is it possible to add this 0.01mm to the list of clickable choices so it appears in the drop down list rather than have to type i in every time ?
and even better can I make it default to this size on startup ?

With NOTHING SELECTED click the outline pen, set color and width you should bet a dialog telling you that you're setting the default.
I'd use the following macro I made for you to force all selected outlines to a specific width you need. You can edit the macro if needed.
