Hi,
I was wondering if anyone knows what the minimum system requirements were for Corel Draw version 3.0 (1992). I understand that this version is some what old and past its sell by date, but I'm doing this a project for an IPRO college course and I can't find the requirements anywhere. If anyone could help me out with this, I would very much appriciate it.
Thanks.
IIRC, the only environment available around then, was Windows 3.1. Perhaps even OS/2 version 1.1, which ran Windows 3.1 apps in a Windows 3.1 like environment.
Is this the information that you are looking for?
Hello Sonic, Hugh...
I have the User's guide book of CorelDRAW! 3.0, I scanned some pages with all the system requirements informaion for that version... I collect all the books from all versions, so if you need anything else just let me know. i have all version with the books, all but one, the coreldraw 10.

Wow. Thanks for that. I suppose the only thing left to know is whether Corel Draw 3.0 can be setup and run on later operating system versions like XP Professional and following that you can upgrade to X4. Only ask because I've known certain programs that run on say Windows 95 to be incompatible with XP as an example.
I have a box somewhere in the office and will check the exact specs next week. CorelDRAW 3.0 was the first "Graphics Suite" per say and included PHOTO-PAINT for the first time. It was made for Windows 3.x times (16-bit).
Regarding the upgrade, you are eligible to upgrade to X4 if you own a full box of 3.0.

Hello again Gentleman, just to be sure... did you check the attached file on my first response to this threat?, sorry I forgot to mention it... that info was taken from the user's guide book.
I don't think you should go there Boris. Even if it does work you won't be able to open the files in X4. That only goes down as far as 9.
This sounds like a one way trip to hell with no return ticket.
Maybe you're right Yani... I'm not sure, I though Sonic was lookin for some information, like an investigation or project... I didn't know he wanted to run the 3.0 on xp, well, as you can see english is not my mother language :(.
Actually Boris like many people here who have English as a 2nd language you guys are often more careful than us native speakers. So it goes totally unnoticed.
Sorry I thought this was your project for a minute there. Once you hit reply it's a pest to look up the post list.
OT I have a facebook mate in Columbia, that provoked me to have a better look at geo and political issues there. It's the next OS trip I want to take. I thought some of the architecture looked stunning. How come when you look at the population maps the west coast is so under populated and the big cities are in the hills? That's the opposite to here where most of the population lives on the coast line. From an Australian perspective it has attributes of 'the undiscovered country'.
