What is purpose of  "skew angle" in free transform tool property bar..!!

  • I think you're asking about the skew angle that is set via Arrange|Transformations|Skew. Correct?

That angle allows you precise control - in the form of angles - over the amount an object is skewed horizontally and/or vertically. Perhaps to more familiar approach to skewing an object is to do so interactively by clicking an object once (which selects the object), then once again, which will bring up handles around the object that can be mover right/left, or up/down. In either approach to skewing, you can change the anchor point, the point around which the skewing takes effect.

    Hoping to help,

    Two problems:

    1) I just noticed that we're using different versions of Draw. You're using 12 and I'm using X5. My bad.

    2) I finally realized the tool you're talking about. In X5, when I select an object with the free transform tool and set skew angles in the property bar, the object skews as expected. But that news doesn't help you much since we're using different versions.

I may be having difficulty in understanding what you are wanting the end result to be, and perhaps I view the term free-form differently than you. If you restrict something to a given degree of movement it is no longer free form in my mind.

When you are using the free-form tool and you wish to skew and object a given angle, you enter the desired angle and use the enter key or use the free-form cursor and left click anywhere in the frame. The "apply to duplicate" and "relative to object" option selections have no effect in this case as they do when using the free form-tool.

What is it you wish to accomplish? You may want to use the skew in the transformation docker.

sir can u tell me the purpose of "relative to path or relative to page(rotation section)" in "sprayer tool in artistic media" in corel draw x4...!!

I can try through the use of an image example. In the attached example I created a spay by direction so that I would end up with one repeated image. I edited the path with the shape tool to end up with a two point curve. Then duplicated below itself. I broke the sprays apart so that you could see the line used. Note that the rotatation ot each figure. 20° in both cases. See the hands in the upper set, all are the same distance from the line.
