If, like me you live in an old fashioned world where Corel 8 does everything you need, the move to Windows 8 is not good! However, having exhausted the compatability install options to no avail - Draw will open but I cannot edit/save/import files, and Photopaint is a non-starter - had a brainwave this morning. Simply set up the old XP machine for remote access across my home network and work through the Win8 device to open programmes and files which reside on the Win8 drive.... it will even work remotely apparently..... As design is only a small part of what I do for a living, making the purchase of the latest Draw package un-economic, I am now a happy chap!
Yes, that's a good solution and one I use myself for testing and answering forum questions.
My laptop and an older desktop computer both have earlier versions of CorelDraw. I don't have much space space, so they sit in obscure corners of the room, without screens or keyboards. Both are connected to my router, one through ethernet and the other connected wirelessly. Both can be accessed by teamviewer -- which is free for personal use. I have one shared folder on my main desktop computer, where files can be accessed by all the machines.
The combination works well, apart from having to wait while they boot up (or leave them running, but that uses extra power).
Hello Stuart; If you are in the USA you can take the cost of your software 100% off your taxis, so it does make updating Corel and other used software a plus.

You ought to be on the Corel Payroll.
