Yes, I searched... No, I did not find that one definitive thread that was my "Easy Button".
I want/need to learn how to "use" Macros.
I've written code for Autodesk (.lsp) for eons, or in other words - I know how to "Copy / Paste / Tweak" like mad man! That said, I can make sense of the great code a few cool peeps have sent me and easily recognize the variables to alter accordingly. The problem is - I need a primer that will show me "where to put 'em, how to invoke them, how to manage them, etc."
I'm NOT looking to have my hand held here... Just looking for a solid tutorial, or perhaps that ellusive 'go-to thread' one of ya'll will steer me to!
Thanks in advance for those who take the time out of their day for others they'll probably never meet or know...! (Those are the true mentors).

I don't know if there is a "primer" anywhere around here that fully applies to more recent CorelDRAW and versions of Windows.
As a start, you could try looking at a post I put in this thread, along with a "Hello World" .GMS file. That tries to address the "where to put them" and part of "how to invoke them".
Try that and see where it goes.

Now I'm off to find "the good stuff"... The problem is - when you don't know a wrench exists that will fit your nuts, you may not know they need tightening. Or loosening, depending upon the condition of your nuts.
The tasks we repeat, hundreds (or more) times per day, are the type of thing I'm seeking (I think. See nuts).
Any suggestions for a repository of good macros...? I got an offer from a guy to BUY his macros. I LMFAO'd so hard my left butt cheek still hasn't been found...! Until someone comes up with a "DONE" macro (one push, my design is done), OR it's so dang useful, the hours spent creating it justify a fair asking price - I don'y pay for code.
Suggestions...?

I was posting that primarily to recommend and provide a link to John's GDG Macros VBA lessons. I added the other material to help with some of the "getting started with a new project" stuff that doesn't work quite the same way now with newer software.
I haven't watched all of John's videos, but what I have watched has helped me a lot!
