I have a image that I need to do pen/ vector marking around it in order for it to be cut out from a vinyl sticker cutter. What is the fastest method to mark the shape of the image? I tried to use 'Outline Trace', but the color of my image will be affected. What else can I do? Please help. Thanks!!
It would be a little easier to make a recomendation if you could include the image.
Here is the image (please let me know if you have problem viewing it):

How do I 'vectorise' the outer line of the image automatically, in order for vinyl cutter to cut out the bird? I've tried using tracing but the colours of the bird will be affected.
if you only need the shape of the bird, use any of the Trace options, such as QuickTrace, and select the "delete background" option. No matter for the results, you will use the shape. Go to Arrange / shaping / boundary and you will have the contour of the bird. Then, you can place the original photo into the new shape as a Powerclip if you want or just use the shape for cut the edge
Take a look at this link to a recent thread http://community.coreldraw.com/forums/p/25965/121453.aspx#121453
RunFlaCruiser has a video in the thread that should help you. In your case the dove has white in the image so you will have to do a little brush work and fill the white areas with black. Start in Draw and duplicate your image before you Edit Bitmap in PhotoPaint. Some node ajustments may be necessary once you are back in Draw.
You should end up with something like this. Once I had the outline per John's video, I used the contour tool to add a small contour and filet to round the sharpe angles.
Select the image, Bitmaps->Mode->1 bit. Set:
Conversiom method = Line ArtThreshold = 250
Press ok.
Select Bitmaps->Quick Trace
