User opinions

I have recently been looking into graphic design, I need users oppinions on Corel graphics x3.

I am a co owner in a tradeshow display company, and  have always used graphic designers to create my designs.

I design tradeshow booths for all industries, building mostly. As I said before I have always used graphic designers and would like to do the job from start to finish by myself, taking my creative ideas as well as my partners and being able to do a proper proposel. I also need to do are business web site, and was wondering just how easy it would be for me to teach myself if I bought the software, opposed to doing high priced lengthy course that I don't have the time for as I am running my own company.

Any input would be greatly apreciated.

  • I know that it sounds like a sales ad but if you can envision it, you can do it with Corel. Just how "good" a job a person can do will depend upon imagination and learning of the products' capabilities. There are no "magic" buttons but the interface of CGS X3 if by far the most intuitive and user friendly.

Three of the BEST ways to learn are :

-the Newsgroups where you can ask ANY question and the users are more than able to help:
             cnews.corel.com    (and check out corel.CorelDRAWX3 and corel.PhotoPAINTX3)
    - the new forums web site (like the News Groups but with a bit of added "flash"):
             coreldraw.com
    -and from a 3rd party:

            Foster D. Coburn III
    CorelDRAW Unleashed
    http://www.coreldrawunleashed.com
Books, Boot Camps, Conferences and Magazines

Enjoy and gave fun learning. Don't expect to turn "pro" right off the bat but with X3 you will be producing a lot faster than you might expect !
