Is it just me or are tables a pain in CorelCAD? The Table info in Help is skimpy at best which reinforces the feeling that tables aren't too easy in CorelCAD.
Creating a table's structure isn't too bad but entering text in it is pretty cumbersome. You can't create a table and enter text in it as a single operation. You have to first create the table, then enter text in each cell using the EditTable command. You can't just double-click a cell to open a text editor. It takes a while to populate a table
And I still haven't figured out if you can add/delete rows or columns in an existing table. There's no intuitive menu commands for it nor does Help address this.
There's no info for Tables on the Corel site and I don't want to fork over $50 for "Inside CorelCAD" on the chance it might contain more table information ( I also don't want to pay extra for something I think should be included as fundamental software documentation).
Has anyone figured out if you can modify the structure of an existing table?
From what I can tell, you can change the contents of a cell, the shape of the table or the style. That's about it. There's no way I could find to datalink to an external source ( eg, Excel table ) or to export or import the contents of a table. Nor could I find any way to change the number of columns or rows of an existing table.

David
Thanks; that's what I thought.
Flexible tables are really critical for drawings requiring parts lists or summary statistics. I've used other CAD programs over the years and their table operations are universally lightyears ahead of CorelCAD's.
