CorelCAD DIMSCALE in CorelCAD - How is it changed?

DIMSCALE in CorelCAD - How is it changed?

I would REALLY like to know how one changes the dimension scale or DIMSCALE as it is called in AutoCAD? How do you do this in CorelCAD? I need to insert dimensions and text in the proper size for paper space????

Please help.

Hi,

In CorelCAD you can not set variables with SETVAR command like in AutoCAD, but you can use AutoLISP expression:
(setvar "dimscale" REAL_NUMBER)
where REAL_NUMBER is the scale you want to set.
And of course you can use DIMSTYLE command to change DIMSCALE - this will create dim style override, or you can create new dim style with DIMSTYLE command with DIMSCALE you need.

I don't have CorelCAD so I can't be sure that it works exactly the same. This is based on DraftSight which uses the same CAD engine as CorelCAD.

Open the options dialog. Select Dimension -> Fit ->Dimension Scale and set "Scale dimensions according to sheet".

lI am new to CoreCAD and Dassault Systemes Draftsight (How unlucky can one be???) and in respect to what you are saying, the two menu systems correlate quite well. [<:o)] Access these options via the Tools menu, Drafting Styles.
