Please can you help?I am using CorelCad to create objects that I export as STL files for 3D printing which works ok apart from the resolution is low. How do I adjust the resolution of the STL export in CorelCad?
ThanksAndy
Hi Andy,
Theoretically you need to increase FACETRES system variable from the default 0.5 to maximum 10.
At the command prompt type:
(setvar "facetres" 10)
And hit Enter.
But it seems there is a defect in CorelCAD, as I tried to do so and got the same result in STL output as with FACETRES=0.5
When I use AutoCAD for STL export I can see the difference:
Maxim
In CorelCAD you can not set system variables from the command prompt. you need to use AutoLISP expression instead.
I already posted it in my first response, you need to type at the command prompt this:
than hit Enter.
You should see 10 at the command prompt this will indicate that FACETRES=10 now:
This will set FACETRES=10 (maximum allowed value). And another note - FACETRES is saved in the drawing, so if you want to set it in another drawing, you need to repeat procedure above.
