I am trying to contour an outline, separate the contour from the outline, move the outline, and then select the contour object that I just separated. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
EffectContour ef = (app.ActiveShape.CreateContour(cdrContourDirection.cdrContourOutside, kerf, 1, cdrFountainFillBlendType.cdrDirectFountainFillBlend, cyan)).Contour;ef.ContourGroup.BreakApart();
that is the first part in vsta. Hope this helps you to start ;-)
turn on "macro recording", do all this manually, look at the code
I did that, but it refuses to select the contour shape after being separated. I think I am going to have to move the initial shape to a new layer, contour it, separate it, move the original shape back to the original layer, and then on the new layer select all the shapes which are there. Does that sound reasonable or convoluted?
That is part of the problem, I can create the contour, and it can be referenced by the contour group, but once separated it is just an object without a designation. After going through the classes, there appears to be no direct method to handle this, so I will just use a workaround, which seems like a lot of extra BS for something so simple.
