I have a ton of macros and test macros that I probably need to clean out. Whenever I go to options to set a keyboard shortcut or drag a macro to my workspace, it takes a long time to navigate around within the options dialogue. Could this be from simply having so many macros or anything in the coding like extra line spaces or unnecessary code?
I am sure it might have a little impact, but in general the options dialog is just very slow. :-( If you started with a clean version of CorelDRAW I really doubt you would notice the difference after adding in your Macros.

My coworker's pc only has a handful of macros and it's much faster. Remember back with version X7 you could use the little paintbrush to modify the icons. It was simpler to do that on the fly than create an icon from scratch. My pc is extremely slow to do that so I'm better off just creating icons and drop 'em in. His pc is really fast when using that little paintbrush. Probably more to do with the number of macros than any coding within them.
I have around 40 macros with icons in CorelDRAW. The command menu, which allows you to search for macros and commands, freezes for about 30 seconds after opening. Additionally, when I click on a command, for example to add a shortcut, the menu remains frozen for another 20 seconds. In CorelDRAW 2021, it was still possible to add a shortcut to a macro in the Macro Docker. This functionality seems to be absent in CorelDRAW 2024.Does anyone know if the icons associated with macros can affect the speed of the menu? Also, are there any specific guidelines on how a macro icon should be created or exported?Cheers Corel Mutt

No, say it isn't so!
Corel Mutt,
Are you referring to a shortcut key? If so, I am still able to right click on the Script/Macro in the docker and select Assign Keyboard Shortcut. That will open the Options dialog to the Customization section. I can then add a new shortcut key. I don't believe adding icons with slow anything down. As for how to make the icons, I have had good luck using icofx (icofx - The Professional Icon Editor), yes it is a paid program, but it does a good job.
