With release of CorelDRAW 2019 we are seeing a new popular language is supported for automating CorelDRAW workflow -- Javascript!
Personally I think this is big, because of how widely JS is used Corel is making a big move to improve the ecosystem of CorelDRAW automation.
That aside I haven't seen SDK documentation is available yet, when can we expect to see them coming? Also is implementing an interface for JS scripting possible? I believe so, because HTML dockers is already supported for how long and with JS support the development is going to be more streamlined.
The JavaScript API is accessible on CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 2019 for Windows and CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 2019 for Mac. For JS API documentation we need to ask you for patience as we will only have that available later. We're working on that, but for now we can only suggest you to explore the JS API on your own.
Looking forward to seeing first sample projects and ideas shared with the community!
Thank you Klaus for answering.
Including JS with CorelDRAW is, well, great. Awesome.I will love, well, I believe that all the community will love to have a tool to develop that will be complatible with both releases of CorelDRAW, working in WIN and MAC.
So, having a interface to build tools much like VBA was for windows WOULD be great.Rob.
Sounds good - but where is the API accessible from in the application?
Can you please tell, how much longer we have to wait?
I can confirm that. I started programming here in C# a few weeks ago.And this community is sensational. And very quickly gives a perfect solution to any problem. On the other hand, there are many examples and great documentation for VB. There you can also derive it. That's how I did it.- let's try it ;-)
