So for the line of business that I work in we do Vehicle graphic and wrapping. When a customer comes in and asks to have there car wrapped or a graphic kit fitted then we want to be able to make them a visual edit of their vehicle with the colour/graphic kit applied. But we are also looking for it to be as realistic as possible.
I have attached a photo of a graphic designer who does exactly this but he uses photoshop!
So I'm trying to find out if you know how to make what he makes on photoshop in photopaint and as realistic as he does.
Thanks Kieron!
This can easily be done in PhotoPaint. here is a very quick example with images grabbed off the net.
The hood and the wrap around on the back are certainly causing issues but the concept is damn good.
Around the back...I intentionally changed the angle of the chuck. As for the hood....I am agreeing with everyone here that it can be time consuming to get all angles correct without 3d software. PhotoPaint can certainly achieve this simple image though, perhaps even better that PhotoShop!.
Here is true 3d modelling.
I think your examples were good. The point of this from my experience is that our customers want the job FAST and cheap so another 30+ minutes billing is not for them.
Just to add to this is the extremely disturbing trend of using conceptual design and art as an unbillable sales tool.. This got its start in the 80's when desktop publishing came into being, the saying is they just do it on the computer. What CRAP! Talent and skills with technology cost a great deal of money to maintain, respect the effort!
