Hello CorelDrawers!
I'm developing a character in Photo Paint (2018) to illustrate a children's story, a kind of dragon. Because it's scaly, I've developed a bitmap fill for the scales. For most of the body, I've been able to apply effects to distort the fill to match the 'skin' of the creature in 3D - not perfect, but good enough for purposes. However, there's one part which I'm having great trouble with! The tail of the creature curves around from the back to the front. The fill needs to follow this, and show perspective, and have the scales following the curves. I've tried all kinds of combinations of perspective, 3D sphere, 3D cylinder, mesh warp and so on, but CANNOT get a fill which looks right. So I'm throwing it open to see if any of you can suggest a way to do this. Your help would be much appreciated! I've attached an image to try and explain what I'm after.

make the pattern vector then use CorelDRAW envelope.

Would you please show an example of how to get a pattern fill to distort with the object when an Envelope effect is applied? I must be missing something.
?? only somewhat better than "flat"
Not a true pattern fill but a series of dots grouped then envelope applied and powerclipped inside
Sorry, I interpreted, "make the pattern vector" as suggesting use of a pattern fill.
Thanks for reminding me about 'envelope' Myron! Bitmaps can be enveloped, so I think I'm getting somewhere having a 'patch' of fill (in PP) , applying 3D cylinder, then exporting it to Draw and using the envelope. I'll keep at it!
