In the new 2018 update: When publishing to PDF, the results do not include bitmap images. Acrobat displays an error message saying that an error exists on the page and that it will not display correctly. Any bitmap is not displayed. Another 2018 bug.
I just did a 199" x 42" document with 17 high res images to PDF with no issue.
David, just occasionally consider that telling people that you DON'T have their problem is actually not helping.
