I have Corel Graphics Suite 2018. When I tried to open a file today in CorelDraw, It simply locked up. It goes to the open dialog box, navigates to the directory, but when I select a file, nothing happens. I can't close CorelDraw, or exit out of the program or the dialog box. The only way I can close is to use Task Manager, and close the program. Can anybody help?
Hello,
From your post, it sounds that this issue has just started occurring today?
Does it occur in all folders, or just one specific folder? Is this folder local, network or on the cloud?
Does the same issue occur when using the Import/Export or Save/SaveAs dialog?
Sharon
Thank you for your response:
Tried dumping temp files no help
It started occurring this morning
It happens in all folders when I try to open a .CDR file
The files are all local - no cloud or network.
Tried import and export, save and save-as. and they seem to be OK.
Could you contact me directly (sharon.potts@corel.com) from a mail address where I can reach you? We might be able to obtain a crash dump which may help to identify the source of the issue.
NOTE: Just to let you know in advance, if we cannot obtain a crash dump, or if it does not prove helpful, I will need to recommend that you contact the customer support team directly for more detailed troubleshooting.
Can you check to see if you have a file that has a long filename in the Welcome Screen, and perhaps one in the folder/directory you are trying to open the file from?
