I'm using CorelDraw - currently 2018 in Windows 10 64bit, but I've been struggling to get Internet links to behave for a long time now.
I'm just going to publish some simple steps to reproduce some issues here for convenience and discussion, then I'll raise a support ticket...
This causes me a massive headache when I'm working on any leaflet with around 10 links or more.
I'd be interested to know if anybody else is being frustrated by this or has found a way around it.
I've been having the same problem. The hyperlink tool is not the greatest to begin with, but now that we produce more and more documents for the web, this issue has become troublesome. The problem is not that links don't export to PDF, it's that all links are lost every time you close and reopen the CDR file. This hyperlink problem has been reported for years. I'm surprised that Corel is not treating this with the urgency it deserves. After 16 years with Corel Draw, I'm considering switching to another graphics design software because of this very issue.
This bug persists even in the latest version Corel Draw 2019. The support department was pretending attempts to help me for a long time, but at the end confessed, that this issue cannot be escalated to developers, so it will be obviously kept unsolved up to end of company. There is no way but switch to another software as to drawings with links. Maximum number of links which can survive save - close - reopen of CDR file is two! I suppose it is disgusting and abhorrent behavior.
This bug is still there for me too... My workaround now is to overlay my hyperlinks as the final step and immediately export a PDF without saving. I seem to be able to avoid the link corruption this way. Then I delete the links again before saving, given that I know they'll be different next time I open the document anyway. This is obviously a pain, but viable for me as I'm only producing a 2 page newsletter with a handful of links - obviously it's not going to be an option for everyone.
I recently received an email notification to say this issue is fixed in version 21.3. I've had a quick play, just adding links to boxes, saving, reopening, exporting a PDF, and it seems to be working. I won't get too excited until I see how it behaves next time I need it in a real document, but it look promising.
Hello, is this version 21.3 you mean corel graphic suite 2019? I have same issue in corel home and students 2018 and now in 2019 too which version is 21.0.0.6. Is all your link ok now?
