Where do I install gms macros in CorelDraw 2018? Do macros for previous version of CorelDraw work with CorelDraw 2018?
Windows 10
Your "user" GMS folder is:
C:\Users\[your user name]\AppData\Roaming\Corel\CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 2017\Draw\GMS
By default, that will be a hidden folder. There is plenty of information on-line about how to get there. Here's one article: What's in the hidden Windows AppData Folder, and how to find it if you need it.
Some older macros will work fine in 2018; some won't. It depends on the macro.
In CorelDraw 2018 the GMS does not exist in that location. Here is an image of my C:\Users\Bill\AppData\Roaming\Corel\CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 2018 folder:
I tried creating the GMS folder in this location, but it didn't work.
I tried to load the macro through Options>Customization>Commands>Macros, but it didn't list the macro.
Do you see "Visual Basic for Applications" in your Macro Manager docker?
There is no "Visual Basic for Applications" in my CorelDraw 2018 Macro Manager docker.

I think that means that VBA support for CorelDRAW is not installed.
You might try running the Setup for CorelDRAW and using "Modify". The VBA support is under Utilities:
That fixed it!
Thanks Eskimo
anyway, you can create a GMS folder under Program Files / CorelDRAW.... (the version you use) / DRAW folder, and place the macros here, it works too.
