Hi there,
Is there a way to scale the selected points of an object possibly interactively with a dedicated tool?
I can't find anything for this type of scaling. I can either type the transformation values in the transformations panel or use the pick tool to scale the whole object but not only a few selected points.
By "points"are you referring to "nodes"? Can you insert an image so we can best see what is exactly needed. By definition, point is not scalable because it consists of no measured value.
Also, try holding the "Ctrl' or "shift" key down while scaling.
Thank you for chiming in, Mike.
Yes, I refer to nodes, sorry for the confusion.
Here's a quick example I prepared in Illustrator:
Thank you, ProActivArte,
Something is not quite working. From the help:
When I click on the scale tool and then I try to scale, the nodes only move.
Can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.
you have to click on the selection box that appears, not on the nodes. from corner to scale, from middle to distortion.
Perfect, thanks! Too many years of Illustrator I guess.
And, by the way, using the selection box rather than clicking on the nodes, it's way better!
Switching from Adobe might need time to adjust, but I start seeing all the benefits of adopting Coreldraw's workflow.
Also, don't forget to press the "Shift Key" while dragging!
Thank you, Mike
Luckily, the combo of keeping a key pressed while dragging is a common thing among graphics software. But thanks for the heads up
