Hi there,
I have a question about some text editing.
Basically, I have a text, two simple lines, say: LINE1, LINE2
I want a character spacing of -50% for LINE1 and 200% for LINE2 but it seems this is not possible.
I thought that selecting the individual lines would allow me to set up specific values based on the current text selected, whereas it seems the values are being applied to the whole chunk regardless of any selection.
Is this the case or I'm missing something?
Yes, all lines within the same paragraph inherit the same character and word spacing. There are two things you can do:A. Convert to Paragraph text (F8) and then separate the lines with Paragraph break (Enter) instead of Line break (Shift+Enter).B. Select individual characters and increase/decrease "Range kerning" instead.
Perfect! The range kerning is what I needed.
Thanks!
Glad I could help.Unfortunately, regarding kerning, it is only possible to change in 5% steps for some reason.
Oops! I hadn't noticed that.
Thanks for the heads up.
