CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 2018 freezes while completing the edit of a PowerclipHi, i am using Corel from Version 5 till date.I am facing this problem only from X7 and i have installed my new "CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 2018" today, and this same problem is existing.
I am able to edit a powerclip,but when i have to close or complete editing my powerclip,either the machine takes a long time or freezes indefinitely.Is there a solution for this issue, since i use powerclip extensively.
Hi, I also use CorelDraw 2018 and have the same problem,like right now. It happens to me when I try to put a CAD exported pdf into a power clip. As there are so many lines (even if I've already cleaned up the pdf to reduce the amount of items), Corel freezes.
I have a new good PC, Intel i7 -9700 3GHz 8 cores, 8 threads. 16gb of RAM (8Gb used at the moment of the freeze), an 500GB SSD, an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660... I mean... it isn't taking all the power of the PC, is not using all the memory available, nor the disc, nor the GPU nor the CPU... but Corel freezes trying to read that many lines. I don't know how AutoCAD works... but Corel can hadle their lines.
Someone could think that It should be fixed by 2018... but its december 2020!! and it's not fixed.
How many objects are we talking about?Are they grouped?I tried with almost 11,000 simple objects and even though it wasn't smooth, I could PowerClip and then Edit the clip without any problem.How did you "clean up" your drawing?In my experience, the easiest way to connect several segments where nodes are on top of each other is to use Join Curves.Select all objects, then choose Extend in the Join Curves docker, set a low Gap tolerance (don't think it matters actually), and then Apply.Usually works fine.
