I am trying to emulate this pattern. Seems easy to do if I just create one "shell" and keep repeating it. But that will bring too many objects into the mix. I tried pattern but I can't find a way to overlap the pattern so that the empty spaces are filled with a "shell". Can someone help. Basically this will be the background and will consist of hundreds of these little "shells"
play around with the crop area until you get one that works in all directions. Make a pattern fill from that.
darn. i was hoping there was a way that corel would be able to overlap the pattern in order to recreate the design. thanks
may I know how to determine what area to capture. because I can't seem to get it right
You need to find the area where the pattern starts repeating itself.I hope you manage to prepare the concentric circles yourself. It is crucial that everything is exactly centered, or the final pattern fill will be misaligned. In this case you only need six sets of circles to get a repeatable pattern.Find the points where the pattern starts repeating itself and the easiest place is probably the center of the circles.
I have prepared a circle pattern for you.The circles are welded together so the base for the fill will have as few objects and nodes as possible. The area enclosed by the guidelines is suitable for creating the seamless vector pattern fill.Make sure that Snap to Guidelines is turned on to ensure the pattern starts and ends exactly at the intersection points. The pattern will be 40% black circles and transparent background. You can of course change the color and add a background before you create the pattern fill, if you like.Good luck!
