Hey everyone.. Totally new to CorelDRAW and I am having an issue filling multiple locations in a shape I have put together. It is a smaller circle within a larger circle with 6 lines in between the circles. When I drew the circles i used the document grid and snapped to grid. the lines were drawn from quadrant to quadrant, snapping to the grid lines.
When I try to fill it, I get one solid fill, it will not fill in the sections separately as seen below. I am using Home & Student 2018. Any help would be appreciated
I recommend that you select the Smart Fill tool from the tool kit, then click in each of the six segments. By doing so, you'll be able to select both the fill and outline colors for each segment individually (assuming the six lines between the two circles extend from one edge to the other, thereby creating a closed boundary for each of the six objects).
I was trying the Smart Fill tool. After reading your response, I made sure the entire image was ungrouped, extended the line well past the cirlces and was able to fill the segments. Then I reduced the size of the lines again.
Thanks for putting me on the right track with the comment about lines extending.. made me think outside the circle ;)
Great news. Well done!
And FWIW, thinking "outside the circle...." Perfect!
