Hello everyone,
How do I disable ligatures (by default) in CorelDraw 2018 - Home/Student? It's really annoying to have turned on by default.
I've searched the TEXT options and can't find anything related to that.
Thanks!
Vincent
Hello Ronny,
It works !!!
Thank you very much!
Wow! Glad I could help, it was a shot in the dark. :-)
Hi!
I just have had the ff-turning-into-a-box problem once more. This time it did not help using the Text Properties docker. See the screen-dump below. It should be ff at the end of the text. I can change the font and then in many fonts the ff appears but not in for instance Arial and Times New Roman (I only use those two fonts). If i open an old file, then it works as it should; e.i. ff remains ff.
Anyone have any suggestions??

Hi again, now I found out that ligurers is turned on and off not by clicking in the check-box beside it but on it, so it is turned on on this screen dump!
Totally idiotic function, and how does it turn on???

Those small squares are not checkboxes. They are "style indicators".
I think that whether "standard ligatures" is enabled or not is a document property. A document should remember that setting.
If you want to change whether it is enabled or not in new documents that you create, then you would need to change the New Document Default for the Default Object Properties for Artistic Text, or the Default Object Properties for Paragraph Text, depending on what you are working with.
Does your version of CorelDRAW have an Object Styles docker?
