CorelDraw Graphics Suite 2018, Windows 7 Pro, Laptop PC
When I enter text I see this strange slanted purple box next to the cursor. See attachment. The text in the purple box is barely readable. If I click outside the purple box the text appears as it should. Problem is I can not edit the text as it either goes into the purple box or the program crashes.
I have tried clearing all cache systems. Even uninstalling and reinstalling the program.
Please, if you have any idea what I am doing wrong, let me know. I have used CorelDraw for many years and have never encountered this.
I updated everything including the graphics card.
Still having the same problem.
Wondering if I can install the program on another computer. Maybe this laptop is too old. Bought it almost 5 years ago.
I have tried different fonts and the problem continues. Were you able to see the screenshot I sent previously? Maybe it is a setting that I am not aware of with text? The text cursor is flashing just to the left of the purple box.
I just want to say to Everyone here, thank you for your time. This is a vexing problem.
You may need to look furtehr into the Font Manager, duplicate fonts, and fonts loaded or active in Windows?
Thank you. I did as you recommended. Found Century Gothic was duplicated. Fixed this in Font Manager.
I also removed all but Windows 7 native fonts from the font folder.
The problem continues.
By the way, I have also run several different anti malware scans. Nothing found.
