Hi Guys,
I have an issue when I try to copy chemical structure from ChemDraw to CorelDraw. The copied content is cutted and when I try to resize it, it shows strange behavior (shifted, disappears)
I made two screenshots to make it more clear.
I really appreciate any help you can provide.
Windows 10 20H2 Build 19042.844
CorelDRAW 2018 20.0.0.633ChemDraw 19.0.1.28
Does ChemDraw allow save as pdf or export as pdf?
The object comes in as a linked object (OLE), that's probably why this happens.Use "Paste Special..." instead, and try the different options from the dialog that appears.Or go via PDF for example, as Myron suggests, if copying doesn't work.
Thanks for the quick answer.
The benefit of the „normal“ copy\paste is that I can easily edit the chemical structure\layout\color etc. by a simple double click on the pasted object as it is linked to Chemdraw.
It worked some weeks before. Probably an update of Chemdraw\CorelDraw or Windows causes this issue. I am just wondering that nobody else faces this issue…
With the „Paste Special“ workaround (as recommended by you), I can atleast copy a vector graphic.
"Edit --> "Paste Special" --> Picture (Enhanced Metafile)
Its not a perfect solution but at the moment the best option I have
Not an expert on OLE but I believe what you see on screen in Draw is just a "snapshot", like a thumbnail, of the original objects.Apparently the "snapshot" doesn't resize the way it should, for some reason. The most obvious malfunction in OLE for many of us, is if we try to copy an object from one version of Draw and paste into an earlier version. The object comes in as OLE but it doesn't have the same size as the original.
Hello my friend=========Export the page or pages to a pdf suffix and then import the pdf file to Corel Draw or Corel Designer.*** Corel Draw or Corel Designer is able, after importing, to fully control the pdf file by 100%.*** Each program contains a virtual printer through which you can export your project with a pdf extension.
Good luck ^_*
