Size of EMF and WMF exports increase when artistic text is included in the drawing

I have read several posts about inserting EMF drawings from CorelDRAW into Microsoft Word but this is a little different. I am using CorelDRAW 2018 and Word for Microsoft Office 365.

This is the workflow that I use:

Create the drawing in CorelDraw.
Put an 7-inch wide 'invisible' box around the drawing to ensure that it fits in the image area of the document.
Export the drawing as an EMF or.
Insert the picture into Word.

When I check the size of the inserted picture, I see that Word reduced the size 68% and that the original size was 10.3 inches. If the inserted picture was a WMF, Word reduces the size to 10%. If I do not include artistic text in the drawing the inserted picture is unchanged.

I don't know if anyone else has experienced this issue. Any and all help is appreciated.
