Hey everyone,
I'm a long time user of CorelDraw and used X4 for many many years.
I've recently had to upgrade to CorelDraw 2018 and have a question about default page views.
It's been a month or so since I've used X4 and have been spending time trying to get my 2018 to be set up like I had X4 so that my workflow isn't interrupted.
Something has been bugging me about 2018 though.
I could swear that when I used X4, my default zoom view was always set to ZOOM TO PAGE even when I was flipping through pages within the current document.
So, if Page 1 was Tabloid size, it would be seen as ZOOM TO PAGE and when I flipped to Page 2 and it was Letter size it would automatically be seen as ZOOM TO PAGE and I would not have to hit the F3 button.
Is there a way to do this (macro or a string of code in the GlobalMacros file?) and set this as the default for all page views in 2018 or am I just remembering wrong?? LOL
I'm getting old so I'm beginning to question my memory lol.
Thanks for the help!
Jason
Try Options > Workspace > Toolbox > Pan/Zoom Tool, and make sure "Zoom Relative to 1:1 is disabled.I may be what you are looking for.
Thank you so much! That fixed it! =)
Another way to do this - and that could work even if you are using "Zoom Relative to 1:1", or if you are zooming in on some pages while going through your document - is to put some code in the ThisMacroStorage module of a project.
Dim WithEvents CurDoc As Document Private Sub GlobalMacroStorage_WindowActivate(ByVal Doc As Document, ByVal Window As Window) Set CurDoc = Doc End Sub Private Sub GlobalMacroStorage_WindowDeactivate(ByVal Doc As Document, ByVal Window As Window) Set CurDoc = Nothing End Sub Private Sub CurDoc_PageActivate(ByVal Page As Page) CurDoc.ActiveWindow.ActiveView.ToFitPage End Sub
If disabling "Zoom Relative to 1:1" solves your problem to your satisfaction, then I would leave it at that, and not use the more invasive automatically-running-code approach.
