Just updated to CorelDraw 2018 and I don't seem to find the "Collect for output" command that was in the File menu. I used this a lot because of converting to lower file versions and automatically collecting all fonts but now I cannot see this. I know that this version embeds the fonts on the .cdr files but how about when creating lower file versions?
It's a custom tool bar now. Tools options customize, show all options and scroll to collect for output and drag it to the status bar
Thank you so much for pointing this out! This is sooo well hidden feature now, I think nobody but insiders would find. Working daily with Draw since v 2.1 I thought (until today), Corel remove this feature in current release as it was not present in File menu any more. What else is hidden in Customization that we don't know about ...
Collect for output was an essential feature some years ago. Today it's not so necessary, since the fonts and the images are included on the CDR file and for send to print the most common output is PDF.
I agree and disagree, if you want to share a CorelDRAW file then collect for output is required. Embedding fonts only works for fonts that will embed, collecting fonts collect all of them.
Well, some fonts doesn't allows to embed nor collect for output neither.
I have not seen one that does not collect for output. However embedding has been an issue many times on my system, not embedding is one the other is the embedded font interfering with the installed font on my system. I never embed fonts.
