Hey, I have some files that were created with 2018 coreldraw, and I'm trying to open it with my 2017 corel draw and I got this message: "this file is version 20.0, to open this file you must upgrade your version of the program" ...is this true or am I doing something wrong? I cannot open 2018 coreldraw files in my 2017 coreldraw version? thanks for the help.

Agree. But will NEVER happen. They cannot fix their own bugs much less add new or bring back working features.
Not sure how they plan on staying in business this way.
Haven't tried, but I wonder if Adobe Illustrator can open those old CorelDraw files... at least attempt to and get them in for the most part versus just a straight out refusal? That would be messed up if so and CorelDraw cannot.
The version I have, Illustrator CS5, seems to be able to open CDR files from version 5 to version 9 (or possibly 10, I don't have any version 10 files).I tried a few and it doesn't seem to handle multipage files and text may also be a problem, but simple vector objects come in just fine.
