How can I fix CorelCapture. It has not worked for me since X4. Maybe not before that. The hotkey activation does not work, and says that the key is already assigned. All of the keys have this response. But I have never set the hotkeys on any program and only use Cntl c and V to copy and paste. Can anyone tell me how to get Corel Capture to work? It would be nice to have a corel utility to do this, as I hate downloading random software from the net to fix something, and possibly introduce malware into my system. I run a lot of software, from Adobe to Davinci Resolve. I have no idea which program is conflicting with which, and it seems to me that the hotkeys are not reserved by any other program. It seems Corel cannot access them. By the way, this is a Windows 7 pro setup. Thanks.
Hello Dan, ... FYI,some positive news, ...
Contacted Corel yesterday via their Inst Msgr system, ... they took details of access code for the CDTS 2020 that I bought and problem I was experiencing with Capture, ... and immediately raised an issue ticket #.
This morning received a reply suggesting it might be due to a conflict with other programs during startup, and customer service rep provided clear screenshots on how to chk applications that are starting during startup, and asked me to send a screenshot of startup applications on my computer to him.
This afternoon I sent a screenshot as requested to the Corel Customer Service Rep, and he replied within 5 mins suggesting to disable the Intel program PIconStartup, ... which I done, ... and now my copy of Corel Capture works fine using F9 as the hotkey. ... :-)
Am using a Lenovo T420, running Windows 7 Pro, ... if you go to MSconfig, ... and then to startup tab, ... it will list all programs, ... with a box on left to tick or untick to enable of disable each.
Hope this might be of assistance to some other people, ... and a quick shout out to Corel for providing such excellent customer service to me today.
Paul
I am running Windows 10, and so PIconStartup is not listed on my computer. I am also running an AMD chip. Can you post the custom Service Rep's email address so I can ask him, since he seems to know what he is doing? Thanks for whatever help you can be.
Dan
