Just upgraded to 2018 from X6. I can not find how to access the Fountain fill presets, like "Conical - Gold or Cylinder - Blue" that I used frequently in X6. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
The new gradient tools are super cool and easy.
If you have the right tool selected "interactive fill tool" you'll have some different options up in the task bar. If you have the "object properties docker" open you can get the same options.
You can double click the fill color property at the bottom right and get more of the traditional style.
So there's a few different ways to approach it.
Then to pick a preset or if you already knew all of that. There is a little down arrow next to the color preview box (fill picker) in the menu bars that show the presets.
Hopefully this picture helps.
Oh,
Also once you have that open you can get more swatch options by going the top right of the popout shown above (another drop down menu), and go to "user content" to "fountain pack".
Thanks for taking the time to respond, however I was looking for the old Fountain fill presets, like "Conical - Gold or Cylinder - Blue that were available in CorelDraw x6. Does anyone know if they are available in CD2018, or if there is a way to import them from X6?
Here's a link to an X5 document with samples of the fill presets: CorelDRAW X5 Fountain Fill Presets - X5.cdr.
It looks like this:
Open that in a newer version of CorelDRAW, and you can do as you wish with the fountain fills. You can save fills as assets in the current fill format, use the Attributes Eyedropper to copy the fill from a sample object and apply it to other objects, use drag-and-drop to copy the fill from a sample object and apply it to other objects,...
Thank you, Eskimo. This is a great workaround. I can't figure out why Corel eliminated them in CD2018.
