Another question, is multi-core meaningful?I am at a loss as to whether the single thread is fast i3 or i5 which has many cores.
It depends on the task you do. Using a multi-core processor allows you to be printing, exporting or saving with one core while you continue working with another. But while you work you use only the cores that Windows enables.

that's relative to the Windows management, but anyway it take advantadge of multi-core, while you're working there're several process runnung on background, such as antivirus for example, and each one requires system resources. The more cores available, less will work each one

CorelDRAW use one or more ores, accorging the task and Windows needs. For example it's not the same to draw lines and type text than edit an image with PhotoPaint or apply bitmap effects. Of course a video software will need more tasks and a 3D software even more.
