Hi
I'm experiencing big issues when exporting to pdf from cdr 2019. The results are awful with dreadful pixelation
The pdf settings are identical to those I used in the 2018 version
I tried exporting on the default settings as well,- Acrobat DC and the higher downsampling values for Color (400) Grayscal (400) and Monochrome (1200) but the results were just as bad.
Colin,
I think that Corel has made some mistake on the Objects page of PDF Settings.
For JPEG Quality, they have reversed the "Low" and "High" labels, compared to what they were in 2018.
That makes is look as though a value of 255 gives the highest quality - which is the opposite of how it works!
.
That's it. So simple!. Thanks so much. Yes, I'd moved the Jpeg slider to High right at the outset, not quite sure why it was set so 'low' in the first place, and never gave it another thought. I've tested it at Low (the new High) and the results were perfect.
So glad as otherwise the new version is really superb - the best upgrade for a long time.
Many thanks again, Colin

If you don't mind me asking - what do you consider to be the most important improvements in moving from 2018 to 2019?
Basically for the vastly improved manipulation of vector objects and artistic text with the fx tab (properties). Previously I've had to employ lengthly and destructive workarounds, converting vector objects to bitmaps and then editing in PP.
It suits my workflow massively but then as in all things it's prbably horses for courses. I've skipped several upgrades in the past because the 'improvements' were of minimal use to me. The new Objects docker is really helpful as well and makes the organisation and reworkings of complex files a lot easier.
All the best and thanks again, Colin
Thank you for sharing that, Colin. I like to find out what other users think, because there are so many different needs and workflows out there in the world.
It was also my perception that non-destructive bitmap effects were the most significant new capability in 2019.
I think you're right so many work flows, I do most of my work on large files, (tens of thousands of objects and 25 to 100') and the non-destructive effects are useless and the new objects docker is way to confusing when you get tens of thousands of objects. The new keep objects on layer feature has me posting to my clients that we will not accept native 2019 files unless the file sent to use has been resaved with that feature turned off. We charge an additional $75 for files submitted incorrectly.

Hm. Sounds like you have still not realized that this is a user setting, not a document setting.

I also find these two to be the most useful new things in 2019.Give them a few updates to refine them both and fix the bugs, and then I think we have two very powerful features.Glad to hear you like the Objects docker, there have been a couple of discussions about it, and especially the lack of object properties. But I like it too.
