I have dozens if not hundreds of fonts appearing in my CD 2018 (CD2019 also ...) font list, that I can not uninstall as they are not showing in Font Manager or Windows font management. They are not showing in Word or InDesign either, just in all Corel apps. There must be cache of some kind somewhere ... I just want to clean drop down list of old unused fonts.
Try to rebuild your font database by starting CorelFont Manager while pressing F8.
Thank you Ronny, but F8 didn't work. I reset both Font Managers 2018 and 2019 with no success. Will try to delete FM databases even though FM does not show ghost fonts at all, only apps (Draw and Paint), which is strange. And I can use those ghost fonts, too ... !??! What mechanism provide fonts to apps then?
One more thing: Enable the font details panel in CFM to see the path where the ghost fonts are located.
Success, thank you :). I tried F8 once again, this time also checking spooky check box "Restore" - "Font database - (resetting the font database removes FOLDERS (?) and collections)". Initially, I didn't want my font folders to be removed from my disk, but after reading help file again I find out that folders are those CFM only monitor, as you said. Word "Monitored" should be included in that sentence ... :)
It is a bug, not a feature IMO, that Corel apps are treating uninstalled fonts as installed only because they know font location ... I tried to minimize my font list to fonts, I use lately. I also show CFM where Draw can find missing fonts if I have to open my old files. What's the point of installed or unistalled fonts then?
Glad you got it to work.It is a feature not a bug, and I'd say it is a bug in all other programs that you must install a font to use it, and to even see how it looks. :-)If you know you only want to use installed fonts, simply enable the filter in Draw to show only installed fonts.(Font list, Show Filter list, Font Status, check Installed)
Ha, old habits die hard :) I didn't understand that option in Font list as I obviously treat CFM as good old Adobe Type Manager we all used in Win 3.1 and 95 - but on steroids. I am still not sure what is the difference between installed and not installed fonts in Draw then, if I can use them all as long CFM knows their location. Term "installed" for me means like "usable / ready to use" and with this feature this philosophy does not work. IMO not installed fonts should be presented in different color in font list and should not be usable - or maybe should be presented on request without messing with other fonts as I collected few thousand of them during my career. OK - I can stop showing them with filter as you showed me, but I still find this option confusing for many of us. But that's my ageing approach, I guess :)

That's the Windows definition of it, yes.Corel took it one step further with CFM and added the ability to also use fonts that are not installed in Windows without going through the hassle of installing and uninstalling, which most of us find to be a nice feature.There are a few drawbacks though, and one of them is that if you monitor font folders with several thousand fonts, it can affect performance and the font list can be a bit difficult to handle.The filters help a lot and speeds things up.Play with it for a while and I think you'll find it quite useful.
Terminology should be the same through Windows IMO otherwise leads to confusion ... As I see this feature, filter should be named more like Prefered and Not prefered fonts as Corel can use all of them regardless of their Installed status. But I learned something new, so thank you for your replays!
