Hi!
A few days ago I transfered all my artwork files (only artwork folders - not program) from my old computer to my new one.
Since then I get a message when I open CorelDraw (see screenshot) that reads: "Please reconnect the device that has the file location, or choose a new folder. ..."
.
May be a concidence and that doesn't stop me from working but it's anoying.
I've search around and some say to go to Settings, Global and file location... however (probably because it's the Home & Student version) I don't have much in Global and I do not have default file locations or anything that would hint to such settings.
Thank for your help!
Vince
Same issue. Very annoying. Tech support suggested creating a new user for the iMac. Then downloaded Corel into that and it opens without the popup box, "Please reconnect device....." I don't want to use another user name to just use CorelDraw. I want this resolved.
Control+J is short cut for setting. Go to Global, File location, make a new folder for grey or missing folder. such as Symbols.
Done!
On Menu, Go to Tools, Options, Global. File location, make a new folder for grey or missing folder. such as Symbols. Enumerated Content Type has its own location link.
Thanks for this! I just had to click reset but it helped!
I do not have any folders grey or missing. I can't understand the logic of why this process is necessary and why an update from Corel can't resolve it.
