I'll be away from work for a week and a half and may have to make a few graphics while Im gone. I own Corel 2018 personally but we use X8 at my work because of macros we use almost on a daily basis. So I was wondering if I could save X8 CDR Files in 2018 to be used by the rest of our staff for printing and such while Im gone.
When you are ready to save your graphics, for work, instead of hitting Save, hit Menu->File->Save as...
That will bring up a dialog to save your file, look at the lower right side of the dialog and you will find a drop-down labeled Version. Select 18.0, and then save the file. This will save the document in CDR X8 format.
thanks! this should save me a headache!
Just remember to keep a copy in the 2018 file format. There may be effects that can not be transferred to the X8 format, and therefore they may no longer be editable after saving back.Don't remember exactly what changed between X8 and 2018 but save a copy, just in case. ;-)
Thanks! Id probably do this instinctively, but knowing there could be issues will help to remind me.
