Does that mean subscriptions are ending? Like in the annual subscription I would like some clearity on this. Thanks!
Corel seems to have not given much thought to the transition process when instating their "no more upgrades" policy. I purchased the yearly subscription to the "Upgrade Protection Plan" when installing CorelDRAW 2018. Subsequently, I did receive an email (via Corel support) that an upgrade to 2019 was available, and I have installed that. However, Corel support informed me that they have decided to not include the upgrade protection plan in the Corel account subscriptions list stating that this is now separate from all other Corel products (what??!). AdvancedArtist, if you find out more, please let me know what you find!
As far I know, subscriptions are not ending (at least, there's not news about it), and also, Perpetual licences (aka "buy the box and use it for a lifetime") doesn't end neither. John has talked about a change of conditions to "upgrade at a lower price", currently you can get a discount of around 50% from any old version, and apparently now only users of recent versions would be eligible. But those changes are not yet definitive, since they will be published at the end of the year.
And here we come across another F up. This stupid forum software. The other thread has become so long that it is impossible to find the latest replies unless you are very very patient.
Are Corel really not aware that there is forum software that allows the user to be directed to the first unread reply?
Thanks for that info Ariel. I must admit that after discussing this with Corel support over the last few months, I had not gained any clarity this.
