I have the latest CorelDRAW and a word document with embedded CorelDRAW 12.0 pictures. Is there any way to convert them to the new format? Any way to extract them at all (other then non-editable images, of course)?
Thanks
anybody?
CGS 2019 should be able to read V12 files, so you should be able to open the Word document, then right-click on the image and "save picture" , save it somewhere and open it in CGS.......
I should...but it's not working. Word says "unknown object". By inspecting the object in VBA I can see that it is indeed CorelDRAW 12.
Do you mean that Word won't open the file?
Its mostly the case that CoreDraw objects in Word are OLE objects. Double clicking on the object in Word should open it in Draw. OLE in later versions of Draw is mostly badly broken. I have a template in Word that has two CorelDraw objects in it, If I double click either I get an error message.
'The server application, source file, or item cannot be found.Makesure the application is properly installed, and that it has not been deleted, moved renamed, or blocked by policy.'
Sounds like you will probably have to rebuild the file rather than edit it. Me, I'm leaving my template well alone.
