Argh. Come on Corel.
When editing a bitmap, Photo Paint opens.

If I go to Cutout lab I used to see my nib so knew where to place it and if I needed to change size. It's no longer there. I only see the center point via the pencil/brush.
Is there a place where that can be turned on?

I vaguely remember being able to hold a key and drag to change nib size. Am I crazy? Maybe remembering different software?
I guess you don't deal with change well then? I get your point I've just gotten used to it.

You are remembering correctly. In 2018, I can hold down Shift and drag to change the nib size - and I can see the nib size while I do that.
In CorelDRAW 2020, if I hold down the Shift key and drag, the nib size does change - but the nib is invisible while I am doing that!
Haha. As a one man shop efficiency is critical . I just hate that during the last couple upgrades they changed stuff for no real reason that I can figure. EG: Why did they move the Preview option to the left of that cutout lab? Why do that? Did everyone want it moved? Just because? I ended my yearly option with them because updates weren't often and because they have made it worse the last couple years (I do not know if the latest version is any good...I stopped at 2019)
The other thing I really liked was right click, drag in the object manager to powerclip. Now it groups.
Now I'm just ranting.

2020 fixes some things that they got wrong in 2019.
Do you have 2018? That's still my favorite.
