The first function that I looked for was the customization tools and I don’t see them. Any help would be most appreciated.
Yes, it's almost the same, with the logical differences of the operating system. For example, Mac version allows JavaScript macros The Options are on the top left corner (as any other Mac software)
Not sure what you are referring to with Java Script macros. I have worked with all recent versions of Corel on my work PC and it's a simple matter of typing "Cmd J" and the options dialogue appears. It that is too much work you can assign it a single hot hot key to bring up the options dialogue window.
I chatted with someone at Corel tonight and they told me that the trial version does not have all of the functions that the purchased software would have.
I guess we should take their word for it that all of these functions will suddenly appear when you put your money down but I don't understand why they wouldn't make the trial version fully functional so that the software can be evaluated for purchase.
When Corel last marketed a Mac version I loaded the purchased product and what I found was that the Mac version simply did not have the same extensive functions that the PC version had and it was slower.

Corel never develop a native Mac version until today. Some old versions (such as versions 8.0 and 11.0) allows tu run the Windows version under MacOS. But of course, most of he features were disabled or just doesn't exist, such as FontNavigator, and the auto-install fonts, And of course, it was a painful performance... this time is totally different. It's a brand new version, made in collaboration with Apple, And remember that Corel now is also the owner of Parallels and Gravit
This is interesting about the difference in the earlier Mac release and this one....also see my comment below to Gerard concerning Customization tools. Don't know what Gravit is but could care less about Parallels. I have operated Corel X7 on my Mac for the past 2 years through Parallels but have experienced overheating when running Windows through Parallels.
