The first function that I looked for was the customization tools and I don’t see them. Any help would be most appreciated.
Yes, it's almost the same, with the logical differences of the operating system. For example, Mac version allows JavaScript macros The Options are on the top left corner (as any other Mac software)
I AM SORRY BUT THIS IS NOT TRUE! I just received an email from tech support today basically stating that they knew there were going to be missing items from this version. There is no customization section at all aside from other items missing. Basically this is 75% of what the windows version is. New Corel Slogan: Buy coredraw for Mac for $500 yet you'll have only 75% of what the windows version has. Funny but true!
As I said before, I understand that customization is very important, for both you and me, I use it a lot to speed up my daily work. But, being objective, most users do not modify the program, and those who do just add some icons. I do not use Mac, and I still have not had chance to try it, but it's obvious that both those who developed the program an tested it knew that option was not active.
Anyway, overall it seems to me much more important that you can not execute VBA macros, than can be customized. I can live without customizing the program, but it would be much harder for me to work without some of the macros I use regularly.
However, I do not feel that the program is "incomplete" for that reason. It's like buying an electric car and discovering that it does not have air conditioning. Yes, it's important, but the advantage is that it's electric, that's what makes it different. In this case, what makes it important, different and special, is that it works on Mac. The rest are secondary details that will be corrected over time.
