Have they ported the whole suite to Mac? Somehow it seems unlikely to me Is Draw on Mac some other animal, based maybe on Gravit? What is the deal with the CorelDRAW.app? If one is on cross platforms, are there going to be hicups between Windows and Mac? Are the files across the platforms truly interchangeable, with full support of all features?
Someone xplain please.
Also, anyone figure out how to get their subscription to spit out upgrade instructions on Windows?
CorelDRAW for Mac it's a native new development, of course based on the same structure, and allows to open the same file on both plattforms. The app is a third option (this is based on Gravit but it's a different program).
On the past, Corel use the same Windows version running under MacOS (such as version 8.0 or 11.0), this is the first native Mac version.
Yes, but this one is very basic one, it is like a new different program that you have to learn because you can barely customize it.
I have been using CorelDraw for more than 20 years. Pretty much like you I was part of the Beta Program until it was moved to the cloud. In all my years on the program contribute with a lot of design changes. I was one of the pushers for the toolbar and status bar customization on CorelDraw5 with the UK Beta team.
I believe that before they release the new version to the public, they should at least have the basic stuff together. working in between the to platforms should be seamless. I have 7 designers in the shop that use Coreldraw and the 50% of the time they use is with their own custom toolbars and workspace. On the Mac version can you barley have some icons on the toolbars and the information it is not enough, for example I can not find the shortcuts keys card that usually comes with the manual. CorelDraw 19 (Mac) looks more like a PLAY version than a full program.
Why Illustrator and Photoshop can do it in Windows and Mac? and CorelDraw that it is a better program can not do it.
I agree with you Carlos, they seamed to push this new platform for Mac and its missing a bunch of stuff. I have asked their tech people and they have passed the question to one another and when I finally received an answer to one of my questions it made no sense and even then what they said to do did not work. its like they are just scrambling looking to provide an answer even though they don't know how the heck to fix it. its sad!!
Just received an email from tech support pretty much stating that they knew there were missing items for this version of Mac. Ok, so excuse me but..... WHY THEN SELL IT?!?!?!?!?!
